Our Reach
In Communities Across Ghana
Established in 2002, BasicNeeds-Ghana works throughout the country with people with mental health conditions or epilepsy, their families and communities.
We operate in three programme areas: Northern Ghana (Northern, Upper East and Upper West), Mid-Ghana (Ashanti and Brong-Ahafo) and Southern-Coastal Ghana (Greater Accra — Accra Metropolitan, LEKMA and Ga West — and Cape Coast).
Overall, aspects of our model for mental health and development cover 185 of Ghana’s 261 districts, and our operations have directly benefited people in 155 districts.
